More lots of hand sanitizer are under recall as a precaution from potential microbial contamination.

Avmor Ltd. said Wednesday that four more lots of the product X3 Clean Alcohol-Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer (Benzalkonium chloride 0.13%) are under recall.

Several lots of the sanitizer and a similar product, Antimicrobial Foaming Hand Soap, were recalled by the Laval, Que.-based company last month.

"Canadians should consult with their health care practitioner if they have bought or used X3 Clean Alcohol-Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer (Benzalkonium chloride 0.13%) or Antimicrobial Foaming Hand Soap (Triclosan 0.3%), especially those with compromised immune systems, including those with cystic fibrosis, HIV/AIDS, cancer, burns, diabetes and severe lung disease," Health Canada said in a release.

The department is monitoring the additional recalls and the company's investigation into the root cause.

No adverse reactions related to the products have been reported to Health Canada or the company.
